What’s on in Caleta de Fuste
A twice weekly market is held every Tuesday and Saturday 9am – 2pm. I visited because we love a good haggle and bargain! We found African wood carvings, handbags, holiday T shirts (the one’s you only wear once) and also cheap sunglasses.
My wife bought a Michael Korrs handbag which was very cheap, however it’s authenticity was at 15 Euros questionable.
The market is located just by the roundabout off the main through road.
In February last year I went to the carnival, the event was lasted 3 days. Free entertainment included live music, dance acts and also a fantastic parade.
Furthermore locals seriously let their hair down, and thousands of people dress up in fancy dress, and party hard. Attending carnivals in Fuerteventura are exciting memorable experience with people drinking, eating and being happy. Everyone is welcome.
Don’t forget to take your glad rags!
